The Smart Tasks experience has been streamlined to show you what you need to get done today, tomorrow, or whenever. Quickly add, complete, and edit tasks.
Layout Options
Next 2 Days supports two layouts: day and list. The day layout shows all tasks for a particular day, while the list layout shows all tasks for Today, Tomorrow, and Whenever.
Add Tasks
Need to add a task, but are away from your phone? No worries, add it from your watch. Quickly add a task with a title, category, or notes.
Add Categories
Add new categories from your wrist to help organize your day on-the-go.
Category View
Add, edit, and view tasks related to a category. Same list layout as Next 2 Days.

Apple Pencil
Introducing iPad scribble support. Quickly write down your tasks.
Scribble New Tasks
On iPad, there is now some empty space at the bottom of each day in “Next 7 Days” and in the Scheduled Calendar view, where users can quickly write new tasks with their Apple Pencil. Once the user starts writing, a new task prompt will appear.
You can also scribble new categories!

- Start writing in the space below a day in the “Next 7 Days” or Scheduled Calendar view.
- A grey “Add” button appears at the first sign of writing.
- Once there’s text in the text field, the add button turns green to let the user know they can add the task.
- “New task” text field placeholder only appears if the written text is removed. The placeholder is not shown beforehand to not obscure what the user is writing.
