These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smart Tasks mobile application (the "Application") and related services provided by the developer of Smart Tasks ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the Application, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
Smart Tasks is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. These Terms apply to all versions of the Application across all supported platforms.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Smart Tasks on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not use Smart Tasks on any device that you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make Smart Tasks available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of Smart Tasks, except as expressly permitted by applicable law or with our written consent.
Smart Tasks is not directed at children under the age of 13. By using Smart Tasks, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use Smart Tasks. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use Smart Tasks. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used Smart Tasks, please contact us at support@smarttasksapp.com.
You agree to use Smart Tasks only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to: (a) use Smart Tasks for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of Smart Tasks or its related systems or networks; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code from Smart Tasks, except as expressly permitted by applicable law; (d) use Smart Tasks in any way that could damage, disable, impair, or interfere with its operation; or (e) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from Smart Tasks beyond what is necessary for personal use.
Smart Tasks and all content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the app design, graphics, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of the Developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted no rights in Smart Tasks except the limited license described in these Terms.
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, and copyrighted content presented within the Application are the property of the Developer and/or third parties. You agree not to use any Intellectual Property for any purpose other than your personal use of Smart Tasks, unless required otherwise by applicable mandatory law.
SMART TASKS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE DEVELOPER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT SMART TASKS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY DATA YOU STORE IN SMART TASKS WILL BE RETAINED, PRESERVED, OR RECOVERABLE.
YOU USE SMART TASKS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE DEVELOPER MAKES NO REPRESENTATION THAT SMART TASKS IS APPROPRIATE OR AVAILABLE FOR USE IN ANY PARTICULAR LOCATION. ANY RELIANCE ON SMART TASKS AS YOUR SOLE METHOD OF STORING, MANAGING, OR RETAINING IMPORTANT INFORMATION IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue Smart Tasks at any time without notice, for any reason or no reason. We will not be held responsible if the Application is changed, discontinued, or otherwise made unavailable, or if any data is damaged, corrupted, or lost as a result.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF TASKS, LOSS OF NOTES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE SMART TASKS, EVEN IF THE DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
THE DEVELOPER IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS CAUSED BY: APP BUGS OR CRASHES, OPERATING SYSTEM UPDATES, DEVICE FAILURE OR REPLACEMENT, ICLOUD SYNC ERRORS OR OUTAGES, ACCIDENTAL DELETION BY THE USER, REMOVAL OR REINSTALLATION OF THE APP, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE WITHIN OR OUTSIDE THE DEVELOPER'S CONTROL.
THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF SMART TASKS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR SMART TASKS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE U.S. DOLLAR ($1.00).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, THE DEVELOPER'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Developer from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of or access to Smart Tasks; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
Smart Tasks offers an optional auto-renewing subscription called Smart Tasks+ that unlocks premium features. This section applies when you purchase Smart Tasks+.
Pre-Purchase Disclosure. Before you confirm a Smart Tasks+ subscription, you will be shown the subscription price, billing frequency, and cancellation instructions. All material subscription terms are disclosed prior to any charge being made to your Apple ID account.
Billing. Smart Tasks+ is priced as displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase. Your Apple ID account will be charged when you confirm the purchase.
Auto-Renewal. Smart Tasks+ is an auto-renewing subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, your subscription will automatically renew for the same duration and price. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Free Trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a Smart Tasks+ subscription.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the same channel used to subscribe — your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the unused portion of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or as offered at Apple's discretion.
Price Changes. Where required by Apple in your region, you will be prompted to accept the new price before renewal; if you do not accept, your subscription will not renew.
Annual Renewal Reminder. Where required by applicable law, renewal reminders are handled through Apple's subscription management system.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The Developer has no ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases.
Restoring Purchases. To restore your subscription on another device, go to Options → Settings → Subscription and tap "Restore Purchase" on any device signed in to the same Apple ID.
European Union. In the European Union, subscriptions to Smart Tasks+ are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store. We do not currently offer alternative payment methods in the EU. Subscription management is available through your Apple ID account settings.
Smart Tasks includes a companion app for Apple Watch. The Apple Watch app operates in conjunction with the iPhone app and syncs data through your iPhone and/or iCloud. Use of the Apple Watch app requires an Apple Watch paired with a compatible iPhone and is subject to the same terms as the iPhone and iPad versions of Smart Tasks.
Smart Tasks stores your data locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your personal iCloud account managed by Apple. You are solely and entirely responsible for maintaining independent backups of any data you store in Smart Tasks. The Developer does not maintain copies of your data and has no ability to recover it.
The Developer is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or deletion of data under any circumstances, including but not limited to: software bugs or crashes, operating system or app updates, device failure, theft, or replacement, iCloud service interruptions or errors, sync conflicts between devices, accidental deletion by the user or another person with access to the device, removal or reinstallation of the application, or expiration or termination of your iCloud account.
By using Smart Tasks, you acknowledge that data loss is an inherent risk of any software application and that you have not relied on any representation that your data will be permanently retained.
Smart Tasks integrates with third-party services including Apple iCloud (for data sync), Google Firebase (for analytics and crash reporting), and the Apple App Store (for subscription processing). Smart Tasks may in the future integrate with additional third-party services or offer optional features. Your use of any such services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. The Developer is not responsible for the availability, reliability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service, and is not liable for any damages resulting from your use of or reliance on such services.
By using Smart Tasks, you represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Smart Tasks shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent for the Developer's place of establishment.
The Developer may terminate or suspend your access to Smart Tasks at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use Smart Tasks will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
You acknowledge and agree that Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. Maintenance and support for Smart Tasks is the sole responsibility of the Developer, not Apple. The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Smart Tasks or your use of it.
Any claim or cause of action arising from or related to these Terms or your use of Smart Tasks must be filed within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arose. Claims filed after this period are permanently barred.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any specific provision will only be effective if made in writing.
We may update these Terms periodically. Your continued use of Smart Tasks after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using Smart Tasks.
